How Can I Support TR
There are so many ways that we can make a difference in the lives of people living with severe and persistent mental illness.
Your time and talent, your attendance at a TR Event, your monetary gifts, or even buying or selling your home – these are all ways in which you can support Transitional Resources.
Giving
Because of friends like you, Transitional Resources (TR) is able to provide those with mental illness, safe and affordable housing, the support necessary to be successful, and the opportunity to return to work.
Your support ensures that help and hope for the future is there when it is needed.

Here are ways that you can become involved in TR:
In order to continue providing award-winning care and housing to those most in need, Transitional Resources needs additional funding support.
When you make a donation directly to the agency, this is how your contribution helps us run our programs:
- $100 will provide a day of residential treatment.
- $250 will purchase items for our new Clubhouse (i.e. printer, etc.).
- $1,000 will provide a week of job coaching.
- $5,000 will support a low-income client in housing for 1 year.
- $50,000 will allow us to remodel our residential program

Businesses often promote community involvement where part of their mission is to support the local community. They may also encourage their employees to contribute to the community through a matching fund program or a workplace giving campaign like United Way.
Transitional Resources is a partner agency of United Way and employees can designate us to receive their donations through United Way workplace campaigns. Your company may also participate in a matching fund program where your donation is matched in part by your company.
To find out if your company has a matching fund program, contact your human resources department.
In Kind Donations are a great way of supporting TR! After donating items to TR, you will receive a letter thanking you. This letter can be saved for your tax records.
At TR, we accept donations of household and office equipment. Please call (206) 883-0640 if you have any questions on how or if we could use your specific donated items.
