We want to take a moment to highlight a passionate collective of women in West Seattle who are committed to spreading kindness and generosity to the community. These women started Impact West Seattle with a simple but bold vision—to have 100 women give $100 each quarter to a local organization. The group now has nearly 200 members, and that number continues to grow!
Each quarter the group picks a cause and nominates three local organizations who help people locally. In the past they have tackled topics like homelessness, immigration, hunger, and climate change, and they are not slowing down. This group has harnessed both passion and proficiency to garner change in the West Seattle community, and they have donated over $87,000 to local nonprofits since they began in 2018.
Transitional Resources was chosen as the recipient for the group’s meeting in November 2019 and received over $17,000! We are incredibly grateful to have the support of our neighbors here in West Seattle and for all the work Impact West Seattle is doing. We are so fortunate to be connected with such an engaging and considerate group who share our values of community, generosity, and hope. We look forward to seeing how they will continue making a difference for local nonprofits through their work.
